Tourist Visa
If you are planning to enter Nepal as a tourist, you need to apply for the Tourist Visa. This (Tourist) visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Nepal as an entry visa (On-Arrival Visa) either at the PORT OF ENTRY or by the DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS ABROAD.

- Pokhara International Airport, Pokhara (If your flight is scheduled to land in Pokhara)

- Belhia, Bhairahawa
- Nepalgunj, Bake
- Mohana, Kailali
- Gaddachwoki Mahendranagar
- Kodari, Sindhupalchwok
- Rashuwagadi, Rashuwa

Both Immigration Offices at different ports of entry and the Diplomatic Missions, issue either 15 days, 30 days, or 90 days entry visas. The visa extension is done for a minimum of 15 days. This visa is extended to not exceed a total of 150 days of stay in a single visa year (January-December).
The visa fee for the Tourist Visa will be:
15 days -USD 30
30 days- USD 50
90 days – USD 125
USD 3 per day (minimum 15 days) will be applicable for Visa Extension.
USD 5 per day will be applicable as a late fine in case of delays.
An additional USD 25 will be applicable for a multiple re-entry facility.
The following documents will be required to apply for a tourist visa in Nepal.

- Previous Visa, if any
- Other supporting documents, if required

Some applicants can enjoy a Gratis Visa if…
- The applicants are children below 10 years old (except US citizens).
- The applicants are SAARC Citizens (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in the given Visa Year. For Afghan citizens to be eligible for a Gratis Visa on Arrival, one has to present the recommendation of the Department of Immigration.
- The applicants are a Non-Residential Nepali (NRN) card holder that is issued by MoFA or Nepalese Diplomatic Missions Abroad)
- The applicants are Chinese Nationals (Valid for 150 days)
However, if you are a passport holder of the following nations, you are requested to acquire a Visa prior to arrival from the nearby Diplomatic Missions (Embassies/Consulates) of the Nepal Government.
